I agree it’s a very beautiful game, and I love the fact that it goes to show that despite a not so good launch and alot of criticism that a game can make turn around

i recently replayed CP2077 including DLC and, while it was certainly different from my launch experience, i still felt like the City was overall very shallow.. There are so many areas with literally NOTHING going on inside the city. Its just walls of big buildings next to eachother with no interior.
So while i really liked the gameplay, the city felt disappointing and PL didn’t really change much in that regard.

Having grown up on Pitfall and Pong and being a big fan of the dystopian mega-structure aesthetic, the 1st time I played I just sat and stared for what seemed like forever. It is definitely impressive.

It is a beautiful game, but for me it wasnt very immersive.. dont know why. Most immersive world for me was RDR2
Dragonfire14
Looks good, but really not immersive. The city has barely anything to do, there are very few buildings you can enter, exploration is just following markers, and (at launch at least) the police kinda just phase into existence.
A town that is super immersive is Kamurocho from the Yakuza series. You can actually engage with the city like it’s a city. You can go shopping, hit the batting cages, play at an arcade, and even go on blind dates. Every street has something for you to engage with or something to find (that isn’t marked on your map). The city grows and evolves throughout the series.

I invite some of you chooms to consider that not everything on the Internet is a debate. Some people just want to share the things that they enjoy. It’s okay for you to have your own opinion, but sometimes you can just move on without having to kill someone’s vibe.

Night City is my favorite character in CP2077. (Sorry Panam.)

What game is this?

It certainly has more locked doors than resident evil.

Very pretty, not immersive.

1. Game releases in broken/bad state.
2. Reception is poor, most people stop playing.
3. Devs make some changes to fix or at least improve game.
4. Limited number of people return to game.
5. People start the narrative “Game is actually really good!!”, ignoring the fact that the majority of the people playing it and saying that are the ones who never left it to begin with.
That’s why these people aren’t to be trusted..

Yeah I agree, best open world to me

The atmosphere of the game is quite literally phenomenal

After Novigrad and Toussaint I expected as much. All of the cities CDPR built are amazing.

Thinking about when I discovered it for the first time, it might be the only game with Red Dead 2 where I never used the fast travel a single time in my entire playthrough purely because I enjoyed the atmosphere and visuals of the world so much
I still have it installed just to boot the game a couple of times every week and walk or drive around in the city while listening to the radio, especially at night under the rain I just love the atmosphere of this kind of places so much https://youtu.be/i6CDOPEszj0?si=yLcR-bhuv4rE2naX
It makes me wish so bad we had more expansion or more open world games taking place in futuristic cities in general

I played it and beat it when it was initially released. I didn’t really enjoy the game to be honest, and not just because of the bugs – although they certainly didn’t help. Stupidly I bought the DLC after it went on sale and was shocked at how many bugs I came across that have been there since it was released and also how little was improved since the initial release. I regretted buying the DLC but I forced myself to re-play the entire game and finish it just on principle lol.
