Performance mode doesn’t do crap, it just makes the cpu boost more resulting in more heat (even when idle) and no real additional performance
Make sure it doesn’t overheat. Mine starts to heat the CPU up to 98 degrees while gaming on performance (even though I blow the dust out quite frequently).
And mine only displays “OMEN Gaming Hub is not available in your country”
Beware what you buy, folks, HP literally geo-restricts their power profile and fan tuning software. Never buying anything from that shitty manufacturer again. Enrique Lores can suck my cock
Depending on your setup, it might not matter at all. A big change in performance mode is that the fans are put on LOUD so that it sounds faster, but it often really isn’t.
Try some game benchmarks and synthetic benchmarks to check if it really matters.
Yeah without choosing performance gpu wattage changes on mine afaik. 80 –> 100w
Performance mode does make your laptop faster, but it also makes it run at a hotter temperature.
I’ve built my PC 4 years ago and noticed a month ago that my motherboard was restraining my RAM to 2.1GHz and I could have gone up to 3.2GHz…
These performance modes are most of the time worse than the balanced mode. You can look up benchmarks on YouTube from Jarrod’s Tech, they make the laptop draw too much power and heat so it thermal throttles itself.
Damn it’s weird to see 40c temps on a gaming laptop haha mine is at 60-75 idle, and around 90 when gaming lol
