  1. Single player game that you bought the license to play. You never owned it. EA let’s you play it as long as they say you can. Guess send a support ticket?

This is why DRM and Subscription-based gaming will never be the future of gaming but keep on dreaming First World gamers lmao

    Piracy is always morally justified.

You only rent games these days on the forced basis of “single payment rent until further notice”

I just got a notification today that said that a version of the sims 4 was removed from my library, when I checked, the game was still there so I assumed that it might be one of the lite or free versions. Might be that?

This happened to me a few years back. I bought a game for Origin (before it was EA app) through a key resell place. After some time, I noticed my game was gone, I received no notification or anything. I opened a ticket, EA and the resellers. What happened was that the owner of the key wanted to use it for themselves or scam people, can’t say for sure, but let’s put it as personal use and revoked my access to the game, since he can provide information from where he got it, I can’t do anything on my part. I don’t remember if they refunded me or not.

This happens rarely in when buying from key resellers, this being the only time and I do use them quite often. Best you can do is submit a ticket and hope for a refund, but in any case, the resellers will probably flag him and might not want to put his games for sale. That’s why ypu always buy from reputable sellers.

I had this happen to half my library when they switched from Origin to the EA play client. But for me, they just vanished from my account.

I sent them a support request, and they fixed it within a day.

To paraphrase a memorable EA villain: “You play it because they allow it. And you will stop playing because they demand it.”

  12. Probably just a bug on their end. Go through support to get it sorted before starting to whine about it in reddit.

  13. Same thing happened to all my battlefield games, battlefield 1, five four, Star Wars Battlefront 2. Never buying from ea again.
