If you liked the demo, wait until you play the full game 😉 In all seriousness, this may be my favourite game of all time. I just did a playthrough with some graphical update mods and was very happy with how it held up.

If any game needs a remaster, that’s it.

This game influenced the entire industry for years to follow. Great game.

One of the best RPGs ever made. An incredible game with amazing story-telling techniques.

Well, I appreciate the praise! I mean, what can I say? I’m just out here doing my thing, trying to bring joy to the masses with my top-notch gameplay and killer sound design.

I still hear those shrieks in my dreams…

It was my favorite game until I played Dark Souls. Pretty great run TBH.
Fabulous-Meet
SHODAN is the best insane AI villain to this day, can’t change my mind.

I miss the days of demo discs.

These guys went on to make BioShock, and BioShock Infinite, and then promptly fell off the face of the earth

I prefer Quake, Doom 2016 and the like. I like System Shock remaster, but it’s just too busy. There are more action orientated games that are just more fun to play. I am not spending hours managing a f*cking inventory.
yeahiateit
I miss the old PCgamer demo disks. Some hidden gems there

As a 10 year old kid I was too scared to play this game past the first few rooms.

I have a big box version of this game. One of the best games ever made

Tbh I enjoyed System Shock 1 more, even though 2 is technically better in pretty much every way.
Maybe because it was more simple, idk, it was more about atmosphere than character progression in an RPG fashion.
Then again I played SS1 at launch, which was a completely different experience back then. I guess I wouldn’t have such good memories if I played it years later, maybe, as the game was somewhat clunky in many aspects.

I got it when I was like 10, kept nopeing out seeing the first monster.
Finally beat it before BioShock came out.

I’ve only ever played it’s successor series.
