I’m also running -40 on all cores in Curve Optimizer. I’ve used it for 2 days and nothing has crashed. OCCT completes a 1hr run without any errors. 45 C idle, 72 C gaming, 89 C in Cinebench. Gets to 5.3GHz on all cores during full loads.

with what cooler? cpu?
but generally yes. 45c? default fan curve? 89C isn’t great at all. Have you even done your fan curves or are you doing board defaults?

Motherboard is to aggressive set it to manual better to find your own PBO2 limits and a good cooler boost clock auto/disable download HWINFO64 to help you find it.

Run your regular apps, if it doesn’t crash, you’re safe.
If it crashes adjust the boost override to 100, then 50.
If it still crashes, due to excessive heat, turn off boost override.
