Does no one else see it as just a normal good game…

It’s a reddit community that loves this game. There’s like 99% of the games playbase that’s never even seen this Reddit.

Does anyone just waltz into a Star Trek Reddit and say, “dang this space show is only decent ngl”

But nah this game ruined other games for me, in a good way. I don’t need other games now 😂

For me, it just made me realize that I like RPG games better than then multiplayer shooters and sports games that I was playing before. I only really play Fallout and Cyberpunk. I’ll occasionally play UFC 5, but ever since I’ve gotten into cyberpunk I probably won’t buy call of duty, madden or 2k ever again unless it really wows me.

aand theres the first downvote. dang it :/

  4. It’s a better game than most, it has more mods than most, it’s longer (if you include all the side content) than a lot of other games, and it’s a good game.

It hasn’t ruined other games for me, but it has become a strong fallback game for whenever I don’t have some other game to play.

It was the first new game I had played in about 10 years. But I already had a huge bias due to being removed from games for so long and already loving the futuristic dystopian/cyberpunk genre. I remember being hyped after seeing the early teasers/trailors but never bought it until after 2.0, so I was introduced to the gameplay already at a near perfect state. I still don’t think it’s “ruined” other games for me but I still haven’t sunk into the world of any other games like cyberpunk.

  6. It really did for me. Witcher 3 is an all time favorite for me. I had yet to play it on PS5 and I had somehow not played either dlc yet so downloaded all that. Probably got about 20 hours in and was of course enjoying it again but couldn’t stop thinking about CP and said fuck it, let’s go again …and then again. Same for Alan Wake 2 and something else I’m blanking on. I now have a “backlog” of games for the first time because of this one.

  7. it really sets the bar high, especially for the cinematic and direction.

  8. It set the bar for mainstream RPG maturity and narrative, but it doesn’t ruin gaming for me as other games don’t rely on maturity and narrative.

Mechanically there several things I hope they will improve in future releases.

This game made me addicted to photo mode, now i genuinely struggle to enjoy any game by playing the actual game instead of constantly pausing to take pics

People make the same post on the Elden ring subreddit all the time

It is just a game. For me, it’s easily the best sandbox RPG I’ve played, but it is just a good game.

  12. Im2stoned2know

It’s a cool game. A little clunky but solid play throuh

  13. No it didn’t ruin other games for me, I’ve been playing mostly BG3 since it’s launch. However, this game and its universe has lived rent free in my head for the past 4 years and that makes it unique amongst most other things I have played.

If you disagree that’s fine. But it ruined gaming for me for a few months lmao.

Maybe I could pickup Fallout or gtav once they fix ultra wide and pathtracing in their games. Otherwise sticking to Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty. I’m looking forward to trying out more multiplayer player mods as their net code gets better it will be fun. Co-op would be popular with the fans if only cdprojektred would make that expansion come true.

For people that it clicks with, there is nothing else like it.

  17. taskmaster51

It didn’t ruin anything for me but I think it’s the best game ever made

  18. SouthWrongdoer

Great game, had/has many flaws tho. I have enjoyed it, but it’s not the greatest thing since slices bread.

  19. Jack_Void1022

It ruined other stuff in just the right amount where I always need some high-tech stuff in the game for it to be interesting.

  20. It’s one of my favorite games, but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying other games. Plainly speaking, I’m not one of those people that can do 5 or more playthroughs back-to-back. That’ll just burn me out from the game for such a long time.

I like other games, but I feel like I don’t have enough the time to commit to something else right now so it’s kind of my go to game when I want to play something and not really think about it. I never finished Alan Wake 2 or Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. I should really do that.

I think it’s spoiled squalor in open world games for me. Other games do open worlds exceptionally well, but I can’t think of another that is as convincingly gross and run down as this one.
