By build I don’t mean sandev, berserk, or cyberdeck, I mean deeper. For example I love pairing the shingen mk 5 (explosive rounds) with the contagion quickhack. I love this build because it balances the use of hacks and weapons. And if I feel like using melee, the thermal mono wire with cripple movement also works with this build.

Where’d ya get the iconic quick hacks? I’m in dog town but I haven’t had any luck from any vendors
“Modern tank” build around tech weapons (primary satara), grenades, raw defence/hp/armor and rippler with control hacks.
Pump int to reach overload and queue 2(thats enough)
Body to max, for adrenaline.
Tech to max, and basically for everything.
Some reflex for mobility- rest as you see fit.
Open combat with debuff most dangerous or most annoying enemies, and throw granade (typically frag/nose, but can be other). Then walk in and finish everyone with satara.
Use ping before engagement, for bonus damage and general awareness, you can also shoot sporadically someone through the walls.
Your “panic button” is overload on rippler. Everyone around become harmless.
You can switch rippler for raven, and open with contagion, with immiate follow of flame granade, or bolt shot if you have engeneer over 55. This will give better alpha against groups, but less damage afterwards and against bosses.
As for other cyberware you need chitin, cellular adapter, blood pump and that one that convert damage to damage over time.
Other slots can be fit in varias ways, but as a rule of thumb – tech weapons with bolt shot and dlc perk that highlight vulnerability points will give enough damage, so all cyberware focus on hit points amoubt/regen , resistance, and armor.
Kind of “Smasher, hold my beer, let me show you how it’s done”
It’s hard for me to give up quick hacks. I go sneaky hacker with a silenced pistol and two smart pistols.
Anything before 2.0, cause Launch V is far deadlier and overpowered than 2.0 V, imo.
I’ve had three go-to designs: netrunner, sandy-samurai, and John Wick. Netrunner has lots of options, though I usually go with stealth nuker. I use the Tetratronic Rippler deck, which gives lots of ram and has lots of damage bonuses. Queue up a control hack, then a damage hack, then another control hack, and finish off with a heavy damage hack and most non-bosses are down.
Sandevistan implants pair extremely well with a katana build. It’s a ton of fun.
The most recent one I did was a pistolero build with a sandy. It turned out to be very effective and a ton of fun as well.
Double pistols build (power/tech) with a throwing knife as backup. Cyberware includes kerenzikov with the two additional modules, a tetra deck, the cellular adapter, threatevac and universal booster for defense, plus optical camo and lynx legs for stealth. The visual cortex support is fun with the Cheetah pistol – crit chance increases as I get closer to the opponent and also as I move further away. An electrical arm launcher completes the build for when things get rough.
i’ve been running a beserk build this playthrough— man is it fun
I’m working on a “Blackwall Merc” build with the Erebus SMG. I did it once during my fist playthrough with the expansion and I remembered how fun it was.
Smart Submachine Gun Netrunner with good health regen.
I can peek around a corner, Contagion, wait until it’s affecting the group, then spray with the Shingen Mk5 for nice explosions. Or, just run in with the Yinglong and spray everywhere for nice electrical overloads.
For tight situations with stealth where enemies are watching each other, I can just Overclock and System Collapse multiple strategic targets to open a path to sneak by and recover my health in no time.
Netrunning is the most effective but crack head mantis blade builds are the most fun 🙂
Atm I’ve got 20 reflex/tech/cool 10 in int and a few in body. But I’m like a very stealthy, one shot build and love it.
20 Agil, 20 body, 20 Assasin. Stealthy throwing knife build with sandevistan, gorilla arms for back up (when the stealth operation fails and I need to crack some skulls).
It allows me to approach every mission stealthily, but if I get found out I just resort to my gorilla gloves. I don’t try too hard with the stealth, in fact sometimes I wish someone would spot me so I can show them some speed haha.
The stealth is OP, I have optical camo, which activates when I crouch-sprint; with dogtown you can even get a perk to activate when you are doing a take-down, you are practically a phantom ofyou wanna be, no one will see you.
The throwing knives are so powerful. They will one-shot most things; when trying to kill groups you can use sandevistan to take all of them out before the first one even hits the floor, makes aiming the knife so easy. TBH I don’t even use sandevistan very often, the knife, stealth combo is so powerful.
Get all the improve movement speed implants you can from the ripper. You are basically a ghost at all times, except for when you are in the mood for a fight.
Also make sure you max out everything in the middle Agility Tree so you can dash all the time.
The one where I uninstalled the game
A lot of quickhacks combined with pistol, katana and monowire.
My two favourites are polar opposites
Full high ram net runner that can kill most enemies before alerting
Or guns blazing militech apogee sandevistan with either a katana or gorilla arms (for Martinez)
I really enjoy playing what I call a plague bearer netrunner, so for spread and stacking, throw out some hacks and walk through while chaos destroys your enemies. don’t even use a weapon most of the time, it’s like 80s movie action stars not looking at the explosions behind them lol
Kereznikov malorian with arm launcher, using pyromania to mitigate damage
Net runner for effectiveness. I’m still stuck on 1.6 so some of the cooler builds would just look janky and not feel the best but blowing people’s brains up without them knowing is pretty dope. Stupid easy too. As far as enjoyability I’d say power pistol gunslinger or dildo sword melee type builds. Just goofy shit to make you feel cool
Hybrid quickhacker / brawler. Pop overclock, hack everyone’s weapons and cyberwear, cripple their movement then punch the shit out of them. So fun.
I’ve just started playing. Went on a deep dive of builds first.
Am halfway through Act 1.
Have rapidly come to appreciate every single person who has said that any build can work, just go your own way and have fun…
… was absolutely correct.
TBF I suck at combat so play on normal.
My build is basically ‘forget to scan, try sniping, quickly get overwhelmed, shoot wildly then start swinging a shitty katana’
It’s awesome. Amazing game on PS5
Tech weapons + Militech Canto mk6 will always be my favorite. The combination of just letting the Blackwall Gateway quickhack go wild while sniping people with Rasetsu never gets old.
Gunslinger Grenadier, it’s simple but effective
I immediately go for all the gameplay stuff gated behind perks (reload perks, dash, etc…)
Pure melee/athletic katana build with grenades and Sandy. Plus a fuckton of armor.
Who needs stealth when you have speed?
My current build makes very little sense, but is great fun. Netrunner with primary weapons of knife and smart shotgun. Start with stealth knife throws, switch to netrunner attacks once detected, shotgun just because i love to shoot around obstacles…
I really like my current one, trusty old blades build. Apogee sandy, axolotl, cockatrice eyes, stabber, peripheral inverse. I’m trying to get to 100% crit chance in sandy with any sword but the crit chance calculation in game kind of skips some steps and just makes it a pain to figure out ;-;
Literally any sword + pistol Sandevistan agility build. Netrunning is so mind-numbingly boring to me that I mostly forget I have a cyberdeck until very niche uses, like a rare choice of stealth. Dashing around the air is so much more fun.
Airdash + double jump legs. I can make any other build work. Tech always at 20, some body for very hard. 15 cool for the optical camo upgrade where it’s at will and not all or nothing (god this changes optical camo from a one off to a central build mechanic. This perk is central to stealth builds). Hacking is the least synergetic, if you go that route then synergy isn’t an issue, you gotta build all towards it and little else. so playing it with hacking and maybe stealth, with knives? difficulty doesn’t matter with other stats if you have hacking but it doesn’t leave you the freedom to soft respect like a no hacking build does. Otherwise you can do 20/20/20/3/18 and infinity respect between anything but hacking. Hacking is the weak point towards build variety. Good for a single playthrough, but the one you go 100% with all the achievements or trophies has gotta be the stats I outlined above or you’ll get bored.
I’ve always had a thing for berserk blade builds, but never really found a build that hits that sweet spot for me.
Then recently I took a look at the butcher’s cleaver for the first time and well. I finally found a build that hits that sweet spot.
So the butcher’s cleaver is a blade weapon with an axe moveset, and more importantly, has one of the highest if not the highest dph out of all blade weapons.
Not only does this help my fingers not ache like hell after any decent sized fight, it also means the cleaver hits hard enough to stealth kill non-elite enemies with a leap attack. It also seems to have a noticeablely higher chance to dismember which is also fun. You can throw yourself at an enemy from like 20m away and decapitate them without anyone noticing.
Still hashing out the finer details for perks and cyberware but it’s a lot of fun downing most enemies in 1~2 hits and sending limbs and heads flying.
.
Honorable mention to my smg/revolver build. You lay down suppressive fire with the smg then pop heads with the revolver.
Both the smg perk tree and revolver perk tree support weapon swapping and I like the extra layer of ‘which weapon do I use?’ it brings to the table.
After hundreds if not thousands of hours of stealth archer in Skyrim… I cannot for the life of me enjoy hacks nearly as much as I do gorilla arms and sandevistan one-punching people to death.
Berserker OS, Gorilla Arms, any and all items that maximize raw damage.
# As I call it; the Violence build.
I’m trying the sadevistan with a LMG, shotgun, smg (for driving combat), dash build. Basically plating as the doomslayer and using the iconic LMG from PL since it’s too good. Also have the iconic magazine fed shotgun that sets things on fire since you can use it with the sandevistan to great effect. 20 body, 20 reflex, 20 tech and the rest into cool for the passive effect. Doomlauncher for added AoE damage and shock and awe effect. I like it more than my smart weapon maker build I did. My final play will be a throwing knife and pistol user with a splash of blades and use mantis blade arm implants as my blade option.
Netrunner, Contagion bombing with the Psalm 11:6, with the Reflex perk for stacking AR damage.
Everything goes boom.
bbl drizzy
A “Cool/ Techie Netrunner” with major pistol skills is by far my fav.
Fav build : of course unarmed mercenary ( gorilla hand)
sword and a sandy never fails
Bro I literally hate that nobody else uses berserk like they’re so much FUN I love them I literally almost every game just grab rilla arms and berserk as fast as I can get the eddies and then I sprint to the rippers and I say “chrome me up choom” and then I get chromed up
Kerenzikov+defensikov+Charged PLS+Electromag Recycler= tank
Biodyne+Mantis=100%crit
Paraline+SynapsisBurnout + Yinglong+cyberware malfunctionx3+Short Circuit=god of thunder.
i have 2 tho, one is jumping around cutting people head, second is slowly hack everyone to dead
I called it HEAD SMASHER.
Sasquatch hammer + berserk. Also need 30 headhunter skill for head damage. 45 shinobi for fast attacks damage. Solo and engineer maxed to 60. Cyberware for melee damage, attack speed, health and armor. 5% chance to get Fury from edgerunner. Basically what it does it one hit almost everyone, final boss took me about 30 seconds on secret ending and max difficulty.
So far my absolute favorite is tech shotgun build by AbraHamSandwich over on YouTube with a few minor changes. I’m enjoying a bit of netgunner but it’s still needing alot of work and I’m really wanting to try a brand new build that I create without YouTube but I’ve been struggling with what to go for.
