Reposting this as I accidentally broke one of the subreddit’s rules with the previous post. My bad!
However, you do still have to give money to Ubisoft, so…
I was honestly going to get the game but I’m not playing any game that uses the Ubisoft launcher. Actual garbage piece of software

I swore I would never buy another Ubisoft game after Watch Dogs 3 and Immortals all required you to be constantly online, which means that Quick Resume on XBOX doesn’t work, which means if the game didn’t autosave before you closed out (and there was no way to know if it did, or to manual save), you could lose tons of progress. I lost probably 3 hours of progress in Immortals and a similar amount in Watch Dogs 3 before I swore off buying another Ubisoft game again. I still won’t buy this, or any other Ubisoft game, because they refused to refund me for those other broken games on XBOX, but at least it is a step in the right direction for them.
Neat. Will they still “decommission” it later in the year so I lose access to it?

In this day and age I didn’t think this was even possible…
I don’t think they understand what makes gaming fun, so I’ll skip it like all Ubisoft games in last 20 years.
The recent The Crew debacle is enough reason to never give Ubitrash even a penny, they can stick their promises and their rehearsed mediocre trash games.
That…is not the problem.
I just don’t want a shop or premium currency attached to the game. Call it old fashioned at this point but I much prefer cosmetics and specialty items to be earned through gameplay and exploration as opposed to opening my wallet wider.
Ok, cool, so can they undo that for Origins then? Bc I wanted to play Origins on my Deck on a trip and couldn’t. So stupid.
They forgot to add the key words “for now”.
It’s a shame that this kind of thing has to be announced. It should be expected for these type of games.
