Am I the only person to meet songbird and say, “yep, I’m ditchin ya as soon as I get that cure..” things were so fishy from the start of “dog eat dog”. Any one who has the ability to “muzzle” johnny is definitely getting executed. She loses control of the chimera. Can hack like 30 devices, but somehow can’t save the president herself by exploding a crane or something?? You saved yourself but didn’t go back for the president??? I don’t understand how she can try to guilt trip V with a sob story and expect it to exonerate all her mistakes. Keep in mind these were my thoughts when I first played the game. Reed is a killer that much is certain. But I would rather side with Reed than a definite psychopath that ravages people from the black wall. These are just my thoughts though. I’ve gone both routes, but Songbird was a dead man from the start in my first play through.

I’m right there. To hell with Songbird.

She, like Reed and Myers and everyone else, is playing V like a fiddle the whole time. It’s unfortunate and scummy, but ain’t no one a saint in Night City. Everyone’s hands are filthy.

  3. I guess most people just try to stay on her good side long enough to see what that cure thing is about. You’d be an absolute fool to trust her blindly. But as always in life, things turn out to be a lot more complex when you dig deeper.

I didn’t trust Song Bird from the moment the Chimera tried to kill V and Myers.

While I don’t like Myers or Reed, the hard reality is they are the only ones who don’t try to screw V over.

Are they good people? Absolutely not.

But neither is V or anyone else in Night City other than the magical monks.

  5. The best ending is failing to save Meyers so she fucking dies

and i dont trust you for using the johnny alternate look

Yes. You’re the only person. Truly 1 of 1.

The thing is Reed and Myers weren’t playing V. Songbird was, only thing that Myers and Reed lied were there past which had nothing to do with V’s life.

If possible I wish to kill her in cold blood. My V is the vengeful type.

Song Mi comes clean in the end. She was a slave being used to commit war crimes. She didn’t lie to you to get ahead in life or be in control. She did it to survive, and to no longer become possibly THE person who broke down the blackwall at Myers’ behest.

I saved her, as she deserved, and Johnny empathized with that decision, regretting his own inability to imagine a way to get out of his own mess alive.

man when she explained how the cure is one use only at the train I got so pissed at her, so many people dead and so much suffering for just one person, Myers is crazy for trying to break the blackwall but on all other accounts fuck songbird

100% how I thought. You CANNOT mess my Johnny and think you’re gonna get away with it later. Constant manipulation and bullshit attempts at making me feel bad were never gonna cut it. Knowing how it goes if you help her I legit have no idea how people do so and feel good about it. At the least, helping reed and myers saves V for sure, a bit shady but it works. (Though again I wouldn’t wanna get rid of Johnny like that and just delete him) If anything songbird could’ve still gotten V something for all the effort it’d be to help her but no she doesn’t give a shit. Irredeemable and slimey tbh I’d never in good faith help her all the way as nothing points to her deserving it.

I was cool with her until Firestarter when you take one of the routes to potentially stopping her and she purposely informs Kurt getting Alex killed.

That wasn’t cool. That one felt personal.

Her “muzzling” Johnny stops the relic from overloading in V’s head.

She loses control over the chimera because it gets taken over by a black wall AI, which is the cyberpunk equivalent of an eldritch being. Literal apocalyptic power.

She’s on the run the same time you and Myers are, not really sure what exploding a crane is supposed to do to help? Also she’s an FIA agent by coercion and she’s a net runner, not sure what you expect her to do going to Myers to fight against squads of Barghest heavies.

Everyone lies to get V on their side but out of Myers, Reed and Song, only Song never wanted and doesn’t want to be where she is. Myers is responsible for everything that happens in PL, Reed is just happy to be an agent again and is having a great time being leashed by Myers, Song is trying to escape slavery that got her infected by an AI that’s ripping her apart at the seams.

Edit: Also Song only uses the blackwall to kill people at the spaceport. The spaceport in which Myers uses special forces to massacre civilians on foreign soil in order to capture someone so they can’t tell anyone about the times Myers broke the one international law the corps and governments actually agree on. Don’t fuck with the blackwall.

Sometimes you just have to accept that you will die. Still can choose to be a good person and help others. It’s not worth changing who you are just because you are facing death.

  15. I guess to understand everything, one needs to be in a ‘dying’ state first.

Also, the Phantom Liberty DLC seems to be about Songbird & Reed. V is just a pawn.

  16. No-Start4754

I guess because V literally tells so mi they are alike in many ways and burn a lot of ppl just to get the cure ? That’s why V can sympathize or understand so mi’s situation and lies. Myers is the fucking villain in the entire dlc . Forced so mi into the current situation,  betrayed reed 7 years ago and still has the audacity to ask him for help , keeps Alex in the area for a very long time , betrayed Kurt.

  17. SoggyMorningTacos

Nope I always say it. Don’t trust that ho. You’re in it for yourself don’t go catching feels.

  18. Savathun-God-Of-Lies

That’s completely fine honestly, there is no right or wrong choice with this DLC, and it’s completely fine to think that way. While I don’t agree with you, I absolutely get where you’re coming from and see what u mean

I’m a Songbird supporter always, but that doesn’t mean I hate Reed or anything. I actually really like him lol

If I wanted to list every reason why I like Song and prefer her over Reed (it’s still very close) I’d be typing forever, lol. Her character just kinda clicked with me to put it simply
