I have been a long time fan of AC and always wished for a game set in Japan. Haven‘t played all of the newer ones since I only have old hardware. But since I will be upgrading for GTA6 anyways, I‘ll probably pick it up. Let‘s hope for a great game.

Is it going back to the Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla type of ARPG?
Has there been any word if Side content is going to be like origins/odessey or if it will function like Valhalla?
Ubisoft if you were wondering, I **will** pay $10 extra and preorder the game if I can get Toranaga-sama’s drip pack dlc.
This feels like Ubisoft’s “break glass” entry
1 day before Ghost of Tsushima finally comes to PC if I remember correctly.
And if I have to use ubisofts crap launcher I will not play it.
This is just the game version of the newer marvel movies.

I just hope the executions are more in line with odyssey I think I would of loved Valhalla but I hated it’s combat. Didn’t wanna execute every guy by shoving his own weapon into him I wanted to use mine

Gonna let this game sit for a couple months after release…I want some real thorough player reviews to sort through before I commit.

Anticipating without hope.
Well one of the biggest complaints I’ve seen on Reddit is that the series went more action based and less stealth/assassination.
This could be addressing both of those issues.
This is made by the Odyssey team so I have hope.
I feel like this is just going to be a shitty Ghosts of Tsushima. Hopefully it’s decent. They do make some good looking worlds.
Going to preface this comment in saying I don’t play any AC games and dislike Ubisoft as a general rule, but… It would be cool if games that want to be historical fiction would be set in cultures you don’t see a ton of in popular media. I want Mongolian, Hindu, and actual Gaelic stuff.

Loved Odyssey and liked Origins and currently I’m playing Valhalla which I also seem to like. Looking forward to this game.
If this is by the Odyssey team, it might yet be enjoyable. Massive bloat aside, Odyssey nailed a lot of the vistas and some historical characters, moments and Kassandra were actually fun.
People will compare this to GoT, but I think that if they cut down on the bloat and copy pasted the GoT combat, I’d enjoy a japanese AC more then I enjoyed GoT.
Ubisoft is a little late to the party but if the game ends up being good that’s all that matters.
It’ll likely be overshadowed by games like GoT, Sekiro, maybe rise of ronin but that game is mid.
Seems like a sure-fire thing so it’ll be interesting to see how Ubisoft makes it unappealing
Assassins Greek was my last AC game that I played. Not really excited about the new AC games anymore, which is a shame.

If this was 2011 I’d be going crazy right now… feudal Japan assassin’s creed was all I wanted.
Hopefully it’s an actual sneaky assassin game instead of the hack and slash giant health bar games they have been making recently. I know people like them but idk. I hope this game is good since the theme has some heavy hitters like Ghost of Tsushima and Seikero

I have been BEGGING for the Assassin’s Creed franchise to go to feudal japan for what feels like a lifetime. LFG MATE, INJECT IT INTO MY VEINS.
I’m not a fan of the feudal Japan setting and it’s been so over done recently with ghost of Tsushima and ronin and others.
