Whenever i see these posts, i wonder how you managed to do that and what kind of setup you are running… Never in my 15 years of having a Windows pc did this happen.

It’s called “work hours” on your computer and it won’t automatically update you between the hours you tell it, hence your downvotes I assume.

A recent Windows update fucked up my chipset drivers, so the CPU was being throttled constantly. The only fix was to turn off PROCHOT in Ryzen Master every time I restart the computer.

If you got Razer peripheral plugged in, windows will install spyware bloated software on your pc, not just drivers. Should be illegal.

I remember when updates were new it was great, “omg they can fix these issues now just by downloading” but all updates do nowadays is break stuff. Like really.

Honestly this & a 100 gigabyte metrics.csv file has made me abandon all interest in AMD. Not going Nvidia anytime soon so ARC it is.

You should legally be able to stop any updates to software you purchased. It needs to be required to be a choice for everything. PC, phones, anything. Stop breaking my shit that was working perfectly fine. If there is a security risk that’s my choice to take the risk.

What drivers did Windows update overwrite on you?
Not sure if it still works in Windows 11 or the home version, but you can delay quality updates and only allow security updates.
Chris Titus’ Windows Debloat script can do that for you plus a ton extra.
