The messy lab setups trigger me the most because safety should motivate one even more than looks into keeping a tidy and clean workspace. I’ll be the first to admit it’s rare for my setup to look like the silly ass minimalist vibes posts but you bet any time I’m pulling out my big silicone matt, soldering iron, or other tools, the entire work area is cleaned first and foremost. Last thing I need is to get a cord caught on something and take a hot soldering iron to the balls.
