So I built my new config a few weeks ago and I decided to try out PBO. After watching a few videos and reading ton of reddit threads I started it. My main source was this video as I have a 7600.
So the first thing I set was the offset, just that -> All Cores Negative 29 (for some reason I could not set 30). After booting in I ran a cinebench test to check what changed -> I gained +200mhz and more cinebench score but the temps and watts were the same, tho I was okay with that. Right after the cinebench test I opened Brave and…BSOD.
Secondly, I tried to lower the offset again, this time Negative 25. Ended up crashing mid-game and a few minutes later BSOD.
Then I tried to configure more stuff: (this time my source is this thread)
- Magnitude/Offset: All Cores Negative 25
- PBO Limits: Motherboard
- CPU Boost Clock Override: Positive 100
- Thermal Throttle Limit: 85°C
Ended up not just getting BSOD but no display -> had to remove cmos battery.
Can a pro tell me what am I doing wrong or if is it even my fault?

Too aggressive. Most chips can’t do -25. Try -15 or even -10 for the utmost stability
