Anyone remember the disaster that was the Xbox One event? It’s like they never wanted Xbox to be a gaming console.

That’s what happens when “effective managers” deal with the industry and not industry specialists/fans

Mattrick was a fucking idiot, who undid all the good Peter Moore did. Moore wanted games, and he went out and got them. Mattrick want gimmicky dog shit like the Kinect. And now Spencer wants xbox to become an always online subscription version of steam.

  3. This was a classic example of marketing having too much power over the direction of a product. “Let’s make something to appeal to everyone!”

  4. Wasn’t there someone asking what they’d do while deployed without Internet and Microsoft basically said use an Xbox 360?

  5. Years have passed and I still wonder if Microsoft YOLO’d this event knowing the PS4 would rock their house and be a landslide victory for Sony. It’s like he shoved the Xbox One in front of a runaway freight train. Mattrick wanted Microsoft to buy Zynga back in 2010.
