Necessary has nothing to do with it, but there are practical applications. If the software is any good (Idk) you can do something similar to my RGB setup, where if my computer starts to get too hot all of my lights turn red, and if it gets too hot it probably means my pump went out and I’m about to wreck my whole rig.
