One of the school computers is definitely missing a CPU now.

  2. simplysaying

Definitely not cops here. On an unrelated note, what school does your sibling go to? Just want to say hi. Again, definitely not cops.

  3. The PCs at my university have i5-10400s as well lol. I’d love to take one and upgrade from my 3470

  4. UmbraSprout

The 10400 isn’t even a bad chip (as far as Intel goes), you’ve got yourself a steal (ha) there.

~~Would not be celebrating this at all,~~ I would make my boy return it and pay for reinstall. Would also take his computer away for a bit.

You should absolutely take action, don’t let your brother get away with this otherwise he will keep going further until you find him in prison for some other stupid nonsense.

That’s a really good CPU for a school pc, definitely say thanks to him. When I got my older brother an A4-4000 from one of the PCs, he said I’m a dumbass

It was just lying there, clamped into a motherboard, screwed under a heatsink, screwed into a case, locked in a room. Anyone could have taken it.

Low end processors are gateway processors to high end.

    Be careful

i also got my cpu from school, it was 2 year ago
    im just lucky

Considering how much schools charge for garbage lunch at cafeteria…

  12. Fynniboyy

Don’t give me a reason to steal an rtx 2070 or 12th Gen i7 from our PC room

  13. P1zzaman

Kids sneakily dismantling school computers for parts, a time long tradition that apparently happens worldwide.

(I was a dumb kid so I only took mouse balls)

  14. jalapenoii

So you’re basically raising a young Robin Hood?

(Assuming the school principal is evil)

  15. Obstanmarty

i read that as my younger brother passed away and gave me this

  16. How do you even steal a cpu without any teachers or so noticing? I am flabbergasted.

  17. NoPerspective9232

What kind of PCs does that school have. The one where I go barely run Windows 7

  18. Bruggilles

I got a very old celeron cpu from my school so he was definately luckier

  19. HorzaDonwraith

Has the world gone mad. Schools handing out i5s like candy.

  20. ElectronicMars

I once took a Pentium D 820 from an unused PC some other kid in school was messing about with, with his permission.

  21. Damn we got a lot of people here telling stories about them stealing

  22. Chaotic-Entropy

You heard it first, schools have started to chip your children when your back is turned.

  23. Mrfrunzi

Johnny Cash’s “One piece at a time” comes to mind.

  24. We used to take sticks of RAM home from school, good times

  25. Jayden_Ha

nice, more threads then my i5 9400f😭

  26. Equal_Improvement57

How young exactly? Its either busted or he really knows how to take out the cpu.

I still feel pretty bad that I pinched some ram chips from my highschool computer lab in the late 90s. They all had sets of 4 x 16meg ram chips (if I remember correctly) and if you just took half they still ran, my home PC (my dad’s actually) only had 8meg ram so it was a sweet upgrade that we couldn’t afford. Dad very much not tech savvy so had no clue.

  28. MakinBones

Could be worse. Could be meth hes getting from school.

  29. midnightsnacks

Lmaooo stolen from school. I remember back in school we had the mouse with trackball. I fucking took one from the computer I was using like an idiot. Obviously got caught pretty quickly.
