Lost the entire bag just as I was about to do the Countermeasures mission ….. 2 flawless crystals, a bunch of perks and recovery time for 2 slots as the cherry on top. The fact that this keeps happening for a franchise that makes loads of money is just mind boggling. So Treyarch, where can I get my stuff back?

You can find a lot of items in game, have you looked there?
Only fix I know that exists is tombstone duplication glitch. But you have to have some spares in your stash.
I always keep 1 of each item in my stash for this reason. I can do the glitch fast, so when my friends are on a server that crashes, I can get all our items back in about 5 minutes.
Wait untill you realize that all your other Operators also get resetted and not only the one that crashed. Just happend to me yesterday.
