I always wanted to use a custom keyboard, but was never able to. Reason is cost. There is simply not enough money to spend on a custom keyboard. And I currently use Logitech K230 keyboard.
I haven’t made my own keyboard yet but I’ve been watching the twitch streams and it looks like a lot of fun
Never owned a custom. Using an Anker mechanical one right now
I have been using an Epomaker (or Ajazz? I can’t keep track) K870T for about two years now and have changed out the switches and keycaps along with some dampening foam. Had to dremmel out a bit of material around the usb port because my new fancy coiled cable wouldn’t fit into the silly recessed port. I think the keyboard bug may have bitten me because I am constantly looking at others now
Custom keyboards are the best. Hot-swappable keys preferred, makes it easy to change out a buggy switch. Currently using IQunix F60!
never had a custom keyboard they are too expensive but cool af. I got a cheap mechanical hotswappable one but it’s so basic
I haven’t, never had a reason to try one. Using a Logitech K120 keyboard.
Custom – not yet, but I got a mechanical with hotswappable switches a few years ago which I’m still using – EVGA Z15

I currently use a white brand keyboard and never had any custom keyboards so I’m quite curious how different it would be to transition to it.

I actually just purchased my first custom keyboard/pad! It’s only meant for gaming really (or could be modified through via for other things) but I’m super excited to get it whenever it is finished and arrives! My current keyboard is a Corsair k70 core and quite frankly I haven’t been that enthralled with it, I have been having CONSTANT issues where my keys will double type even though I’m certain I’ve only pressed once (I’ve tested it). Which is partly why I decided to go for a custom gamepad so I don’t get screwed over by double press when I don’t want it.
Never made a custom keyboard before. I just use the built-in laptop keyboard. Mechanical keyboards are extremely expensive where I live…
No custom. I really want to, at least cheap mods like masking tape or foam.

But I don’t have the funds to make that dream come true.
Currently using a Logitech Pro Tenkeyless.
It’s been pretty great for the 1 1/2 years I’ve had it.
My friend bought a keychron with mx brown and it sounds good. I hated my current keyboard cause the switches loud. I did a lot of research and built my first custom mechanical keyboard, the tofu65.
I’ve been using a Koorui that I’ve changed some keys on for a while now. It works good enough, but I’d definitely like to try something much nicer.
Had a small modded Akko, this would be a huge step up if I won.
Not into costum keyboard (yet?). Currently using a HyperX Alloy Origin and I like it a lot

Not using custom, but have VA88 with customized keycaps for my private use and WASD mx cherry clear for job, both TKL.
Currently still using my first actual Keyboard that is not a Laptop-intgrated one, a Roccat Vulkan TKL

Didnt think a custom keeb was worth it, I got a HyperX Alloy Origins 65
my first mechanical keyboard is a cheap rk61 plus so i havnt dive yet, but i’ll prob start costimizing it when the switch begin to wear down.
I was using a very clicky mechanical keyboard I bought from Amazon and I loved cause it felt like I was typing on a typewriter but had to switch back to an old red dragon membrane keyboard when we all moved back in with our mother to take care of her. I was told it was too loud.
Dove into the hobby about a year ago 🙂 I daily the Wooting 60HE+ in a Tofu Redux & Jade switches when I game, and have a Zoom75 Kitsune/Asus Azoth that I use at work.
Never had a custom keyboard so far, though would be cool. Currently using a cherry g80-3000n
Never gone full custom. The most customizable I’ve had is the wooting he 60. I still go back to my ducky sf because I like silent keys for the work I do. I do have tools to lube so I feel that is half the work.

Haven’t used a custom kb before, i only admired some peoples’ work, like some Taeha builds (one made for moonmoon for example)…words of praise for the care and craftsmanship required. I’m currently using a HyperX Alloy Origins, enjoying it so far.
