PORTAL 2 SPOILERS: for me, it was my first time doing the final boss fight, and having the realization that you need to shoot a portal to the moon. Such a cool way to resolve the fight, and doubly satisfying because of all the talk of moon rocks sprinkled into the game up to that point. Very well done

Titanfall 2 the moment you are in a time freeze and second one when robot you are fighting with in campaign meets you few hundred meters across rubble and ocean so you can complete mission. Then catches you when you come back. Awesome stuff.

I have two: coming out of the shrine of resurrection in Zelda Breath of the Wild. The wide view of hyrule and the surrounding lands just struck me
The second was elite dangerous in vr, coming out of a hangar into the station centre and the sense of scale just hits you in vr. So good.

The end of *Life Is Strange* Episode 4.
I’ve seen a lot of people say the end of episode 3, but for me, as soon as Max saved William’s life, I just knew there’d be some tragedy trade-off, and I was right, so Chloe showing up paralyzed in the last scene didn’t shock me.
But the ending of Episode 4 (Max drugged, Chloe murdered, Jefferson revealed to be the killer) hit me harder than almost anything I’d seen in a game.

Farcry 5 MAJOR SPOILERS >!When the bomb drops just as you’re arresting the father.!<
Ghaleon32
In Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion, when you walk out of the sewer for the first time and see the open world.
Elden Ring, I think after Stormveil castle, when you are in the open world again and you see the beautiful aesthetics in front of you and the areas you can go to, I think its Liurna lakes.
Actually Elden Ring is full of awe moments like seeing the grotesque red Caelid or the beautiful Sofria underground with the beautiful night sky.

GTA3, driving off the bridge and into the city for the first time. After playing the top down games for countless hours, you’re finally IN GTA, radio playing, pedestrians jibbering, tires screeching around every corner…
It was the first 3D GTA and there was SO MUCH HYPE for it. One of the few occasions I was allowed to play games on a school night, and one of the few games I ever pre-ordered. I read every magazine and combed over every screenshot, speculating on the forums about what you might be able to do. A core gaming moment for sure.
