We don’t want to alarm anyone but we might be seeing CS2’s first actual ban wave. Like one where actual rage hackers are finally getting hit by VAC.
In some instances, almost entire hvh lobbies are getting banned. This looks huge. There’s a lot of confusion about what’s actually happening – so here’s everything we know so far…

Id be more concerned with the ones that try and hide it, those are the ones were going to need an AI anti cheat for…i hope, online gaming is getting to a point where everyone either exploits or cheats as an advantage and its just not fun anymore.
I think valve has a better chance getting rid of every cheater in the game then the leafs have of coming back and winning this series against Boston.

I got a spinbot in a deathmatch game a few days ago, they got kicked from the game within 5 minutes, but the chat message said something about “incorrect VAC environment” instead of “VAC banned”
I just had a cheater in my game 😂

I don't understand why you would play a game only to cheat? When I play I game I try to download the nightmare mode romhack, or I set every setting on max difficulty if possible. How can you get any enjoyment from being a fake person with fake kills?
sadly this is just a detection for the most popular HvH cheat. This means that if the cheat dev updates the cheat it is undetected again. Cheats that aim to be on the legit side are still out there and undetected. The most popular legit cheat is still undetected for example. Its a huge win yes but that doesnt mean that vac got better just that the cheat devs got sloppy and released an update that wasnt quite up to the standart.

they dont need to end cheating as it is impossible, they just need to make it more expensive. There are a bunch of kids cheating with free/ 5 dollar cheaters. If it was more expensive at least some people would think with their wallet and wont pay 50 dollars subscription to be an idiot online.

The thing is that these are only the obvious bad hackers, actually good hackers who have good mouvement and skins are never getting caught, they just use soft aim that locks on someone until you have your crosshair on them and for a slight amount of time to help u like aim assist, or don't even use aim hacks and just have esp/walls, some even go more subtle and only use radar hacks which still give a huge advantage but require some skill, its can for example help a 5k elo to 7k or so, just search videos for legit hacks and you'll see

Had a cheater yesterday inject rage hacks after going 0-4 and being destroyed lol. Hacks are very much alive, this was just a ban wave on some current cheat providers.

its a LONG stretch but AI anticheat requires time to analyze someones gameplay and even pattern recognitions to spot the same player on another account for when they try and come back, in order for it to get that data, valve may have just allowed them to go wild to get to a point where they could confidently say that it had a high enough accuracy in recognition that it would be ready for role out, from blatant rage hackers to closet cheaters, to even command abusers. probably a long stretch, but if it was a thing, it could be huge.

I got the best revenge. I played against some loser in Que with 2 spin botters. He had an inventory with knives etc. he thought he was untouchable and boom. He wasn’t even cheating but got vac banned for playing with 2 cheaters malicious activity

Usually, a game's anticheat is judged by if it allows any cheaters to play. With VAC, it's if stops any cheaters from playing.

Why is everyone shocked? It's not like Valve hasn't been doing anything, they're constantly working on the game in all aspects. They straight up told us, they don't communicate with us for the sake of communicating. They gather feedback and come out with fixes. Remember when everyone was bitching subtic servers? Now it's virtually not a thing because they fixed it.
People need to just stfu and be patient for their updates
i just finished playing rn and 2/5 match that ive played in premier have cheater lol is it actually working? hmp i highly doubt it
100% only free cheats got detected, maybe even a few paid + probably some AI detecting the Anti Aim
Gave Premiere (~20k elo) a try today, after hearing about the update of VAC. First game got a rage hacker on the enemy team, was a pretty quick one but gave it another shot, couldve been bad luck right? 2nd Game, 3 blatant wallhackers on the enemy team, one in our team. I watched the demo afterwards and 20k+ Elo seems to be riddled with low level (literally silver looking) players, that just cheat and are still beatable sometimes, because their understanding of the game is so bad. I don't know why someone would ever want to play this game seriously when not playing FaceIt.
