A cats comfort is more important than temps! I love my little buddy snoozing on the PC. On a practical front do make sure you have some rear exhaust to help lol.

You can get a thing to divert the heat out to the side and put a cat bed there where the heat is going. Make the top of your tower unsittable as well.

I’ll never understand r/PCmasterrace and their obsession with letting their cats sit on their computers. Like you wouldn’t let your cat on your tables and counters right? It’s pretty easy to keep your cat off surfaces you don’t want them to be on.
I use compressed air to scare them down from places. Works great and doesn’t get anything wet like a spray bottle would. Just obviously don’t spray it directly in their faces.

I put piece of masking tape sticky side up on the top of my case for like a week and my cat stopped trying to get up there
