Honestly look at any big hated studio. They got big for a reason, their games used to be good, and still have good elements hidden in there.
Ubisoft gets hate when it does good things as well! I mean thats what you get when you say things that piss of gamers.. like there AC games are good with no forced micro-transactions but still people roast the fuck outta them..

Ubisofts “problem” is that they’re a huge Corp made of many different people/teams/locations to the point when you see “Ubisoft” on a product you have no idea of the quality of it, save that it will have all its stuff passed through corporate legal.
Gameplay and style can be almost anything.
The people working on things like character design or level design were never to blame. Ubisoft game are amazingly beautiful

Man that first multiplayer they made for AC was so much fun. I loved it.

If I could have Fromsoftwares level design, Ubisofts apparel design and CD Projekt Reds quest design in one game, I would never stop playing it
I really like ubisoft games but they just blue ball gamers so hard, honestly I think lots of their games are so so so close to being amazing and due to certain choices are just held back which sucks

But their Art teams are absolutely amazing.

AC Odyssey has the most graphically detailed outfits I’ve ever seen of any video game and Mirage does them very well too. Only game that comes close is horizon with aloy’s outfits which are also incredible, just not as much variety.
