The bottleneck would be real.

Tbh It would be 16gb ram no matter if it’s even a 10100f build

Depending on the game it may honestly not be that bad, for example cyberpunk full path tracing all settings maxed out will struggle to maintain 60fps 1080p even with a 4090. Same with Alan Wake 2

1st) System won’t boot or shutdown pretty fast, because PSU is too weak
    2nd) 1080p@60Hz would be limiting
With everything else just play in 4k and the 4090 will be used

4090 won’t even boot on 650w most likely.

This was me several months ago when somebody who owed me big time dropped a 4090 on me out of nowhere… My 3900X and 700w were not going to cut it. Nor was my main monitor.

New CPU, PSU, screen… But now that I had four monitors I had to get gas spring mounting arms. And then of course I had to get a whole set of new parts to make use of the old parts I had just swapped out. Never knew being given a 4090 would cost me a grand! Can’t complain though, obviously.

Wont even boot. And please stop overusing the word “bottleneck” so much

12400f is a very decent cpu, it would deffinitely do a good job at 1440p or 4k even with 4090.

    I have:
    Rtx4090
    12400f
    23gb ddr4
    B660
    🤣

This would bottleneck horribly… If a 4090 and 12400f could run well on 650 watts.

  10. 4090 is the best 1080p card, what’s the problem?

ayo that’s basically me with my 5600g, 16gb ram and 7900xtx.

Lmao, well I do have kind of similar rig myself, I don’t have time game 🙁

Bought the 3080Ti in a sale for Rs 50000 in India ( approx 550$ ) and I fulfilled my dream of owing an x80Ti card for my rig.

  13. I think a Triple A game at 4K resolution the bottle neck will still be the GPU
