CPU is usually the most durable component in a system. The mobo may be trashed, even if not it wonโt work in another case because itโs nonstandard. The PSU is very likely dogshit.

I bet that 120mm rad is toast (it’s about old enough that it’s probably bone dry) and that’s why that whole computer got thrown out. The motherboard’s probably proprietary and wouldn’t transfer to another case; the case is bad for cooling so it’s not worth anything. They stripped the RAM and the GPU (and broke the slot while doing it!). I’d be curious if that SATA cable leads to anything; might be an HDD somewhere.

The whole thing is dogshit except the CPU.
10700KF is still a damn good CPU for budget builders

If you need a heating unit you’re covered

They OBLITERATED that PCIE lane.
I wouldn’t chance other components on that motherboard tbh

I7 ? I can see why they threw it away

Not much really worthwhile in it, the CPU is good. Still a fun find though.

probably that wifi is good too

Build you a little entry/mid-tier PC around that CPU. Trash the rest of system.
refuge9
Put it back.

The fans can move some serious air but sound like a jet. Dell fans might be some server grade. The ones I had cut probably cut a finger at full rpm.

I remember reading a long time ago that Dell uses different pin outs on their connectors on their PSU so a regular PSU won’t work on Dell computers.

Take the CPU, leave the canoly.

PLEASE! Tell me that I’m not the only one thought that there was a HUGE ASS HORNET on the first photo ๐

It’s always nice to see Dells 90s office PC cases with some plastic attached to them to make them look nice and keep the terrible airflow.

Wow, nice find – Cali?

Makes me feel sad seeing the cpu that’s in my current build is dumpster worthy today ๐
It’s not pcmr if this isn’t in the comments. Nice cpu score!

If the case is in decent shape you might get some money for it. Seen a couple of weirdos wanting to build on AW cases even if they are space heaters with every compatibility issue in existence

I’d scavenge parts and put the rest back in the dumpster. I never ever use the drives from second hand devices anymore either. I don’t trust anyone anymore not to have loads of viruses or illegal shit if not both.
