Ya, I have it too. Guess what happens after you install the game from the disks? YOU HAVE TO CONNECT TO ROCKSTAR, LOG IN, AND DOWNLOAD A 60GIG PATCH…. so yeah, the disks are completely fucking useless.

Looks like a vintage record collection, I would hang it on a wall.

And the game has still 150gb xD

Same. I waited in line at GameStop the day of release for it because I was so excited.

same here, I bought it on midnight at gamestop.

I do too. I like the included map.

I have one as well. Might be the last physical game I bought, if not the last physical pc game released. After this I think code in a box was standard or digital became the only option.

Reminds me of the days when I used to buy games on stacks of floppies. Wing Commander 2 came on 7 high density floppies, or 14 low density ones.

I wonder how many discs the floppy disc version is?

I remember the physical copy was displayed at my local game store, dissected like the one in this picture in all its seven-disc glory. I didn’t buy the physical copy though because I has already purchased GTA V on Steam.
My friend bought a physical copy. He and I installed the game in the morning and completed the installation process in the evening. It was slow because, well, there were 7 discs, his computer at that time had HDD, and the installation process required an internet connection, our internet was shit at that time and just Rockstar server being Rockstar server.
Looking back, I should have bought the physical copy, it’s so cool and bizarre.
Embarrassed-Leg9342
Why did they even make this?

I own the disk version too still in its original case.
Dwarfkiller47
That would look fantastic in a good frame

It doesn’t matter at this point but I did wish that physical copies were pressed on blu ray. The less data I needed to download, the better.

I had this back when I pre-ordered the thing, before realizing it’s not for steam, it’s for fucking rockstar DRM.
Fejvadas
Yooo i have it too
Nick85er
May it work long after the authentication servers are taken offline.
Very cool piece of gaming history in physical form
maybe_forever
