My cousin uses this exact model for showing pictures during our annual New Year’s Eve party. It’s not a premium keyboard by any means but it works in his application.
Fine for browsing but far from a gaming keyboard
I bought the K380 for my Mac Mini M1, I wish I would of bought this one instead.
I use one with my ROG ally when I have it docked to the tv for basic tasks. It’s useful enough. And for 20 bux, it’s amazing
I have this keyboard and it works fine for exactly what you want. I control my laptop from my couch for streaming or other media. I definitely wouldnt game with it though.
If you’re buying something like this, you don’t care about feel. You care about functionality. For something in bed, this will do everything you need it to do and maybe more. If you care about feel, the price is going up and functionality is going down.
This is a VERY common keyboard. I enjoy mine for my Steam Deck docked and FFXIV on PS5. Some of the machinery at my work that have PCs attached use this keyboard. It’s clearly reliable. Also the battery life is insane! I got mine months ago and I still haven’t swapped out the batteries it came with.
These are great in a factory environment.
I own 2 of them. One for my HTPC and one for my sim rig and it’s a fine keyboard for both cases
Had one, wasn’t a fan of it, but I don’t much care for touchpads. I like the Lenovo Trackpoint Keyboard II a lot more.
I have one. It’s shit, but it gets the job done. I use it while in my sim rig while wearing vr.
My PC is in my living room, like a powerful console. I game on controller, but use this exact keyboard to navigate Windows. It’s really good for this use case.

They’re not great but it’s good enough to use in a pinch, and the batteries last FOREVER. Trackpad is nice for use from bed too.
I have *2* of these. They’re good for media center PC, but wouldn’t use it for keyboard and mouse gaming on the couch. Use a controller for games and this for navigation

I have this exact model. The keys feel mushy. I got it because I needed a cheap wireless keyboard that would have a strong enough signal to go across my living room and it definitely does that fine. Just don’t expect it to feel like a high end gaming keyboard.
Key touch is fine. The trackpad is crappy and the mouse pointer can stuck in place if there are moisture or finger oil residue.
it does it job, my dad has one, its not for performance but for functionality, it works as intended

I have this for a media intel nuc in my livingroom. Even gaming with a mouse is still sub par. I was able to surprise a few folks in fps using just the keyboard and touchpad though. I still got slaughtered haha.
I have this. Be careful not to throw out the adapter with the cardboard case.
there is a competing one from microsoft that has a larger track pad, have not used eighter…
I do, the keyboard part is passable, but the trackpad is very bad.
They are both usable nonetheless, if all you want to do is search and click on videos then its perfectly fine.
I have two that I use with my old PCs hooked up to my living room and bedroom TVs. It’s good to use as a way to browse and type on a couch or in bed to search for shows and what not. I have been using them for 4 years and they are perfect for that use.

Yes. I use it to control a PC tied tro a TV. Purely to open up a borwser video, or start a steam game, then switch to a controller.
It is like using a laptop trackpad. Not fun. But not horrible either. It works for the very limited amount I use it for. But I would never want to use it as my main input.

It works, but thats about it. Its about as good as you can get for a couch keyboard solution without going super overboard
Does the job pretty well. Keys don’t feel great obviously but just for browsing the web you don’t really need a mechanical keyboard
I have an issue with the touch pad where it won’t let me scroll just a little bit. It’s no response, and then a jump. It’s actually fucking annoying.
I have this exact keyboard, though a few years older, it seems to be compatible with EVERYTHING and has great battery life. It feels like a cheap laptop keyboard but it gets the job done. I mostly use it for media purposes or starting up games that use controllers/VR on the TV. I would not want to work or play a KBM game on it.
i do have this. I’ve only used it when connected to my tv as a monitor so I can control the PC from bed without getting up. I only use it for basic youtube searches, or clicking the next video in a tv show or something on my PC. It doesn’t feel great, but for minimal use in bed it was perfect. I wouldn’t use it for any extending type, or gaming.

eventually broke after a couple years. i now use a cheap chinese copy off amazon.
only use it for reddit, netflix and youtube. i dont really use it to type much more of just to search.
the one downside is its not backlite. so if you use the tv in the dark it can be pain. the cheap chinese $20 wifi keyboards on amazon are backlite for the same price.
Yep I use it to control my home theatre PC. It works. Weighs almost nothing and batteries last for about 300 years.
Terrible keys and touchpad though so don’t try to do anything “serious” on it. I just need it for navigating Windows.
Yep I own this, but I use it as a very occasional keyboard for my little TrueNAS server behind my TV – comes in handy if I ever need to go into BIOS etc.
It’s a cheap keyboard. It feels cheap, and it’s creaky as fuck. The keys feel worse than most laptops and the trackpad is unsatisfying. Ok for occasional use for a specific job, but avoid it for daily use. It might be reasonable for what you’re using it for, if it’s browsing the web or netflix etc. If it’s gaming then you’ll hate it.
I had the previous version of this running as basically a fancy remote control so I could manage my PC from across the room. works fine for such things. Mine lasted about 2ish years with moderate usage. note: this was NEVER my primary keyboard. I have nice mechanicals for that.
I own this. Great for a HTPC. Terrible for every single other use case.
I have this. Cannot recommend though.
– Keys feel like sponges
– Media keys cannot be swapped for normal F1-12 function keys (unless you have the software, which isn’t available on Linux)
– Touchpad is ‘meh’ at best
On the plus side, my keyboard is on month 14 with the original batteries it came with. Can’t complain about battery life.
I have this exact keyboard for that exact purpose. Its just fine for typical stuff but its not great for gaming. In fact its pretty terrible for gaming. I use a cintroller with gyro so for my needs this keyboard is perfect.
I use it with a steam deck and dock for media and menus in games that I am using a controller on. It works well for that. I would never use it to game. It feel pretty low quality, but performs well. This is a function over form keyboard.
I have to travel a lot in my job and connect to edge devices inside machine panels for config or troubleshooting. This keyboard and a portable monitor are in my travel backpack, and it’s perfect for my use case. Like others have said it’s not high performance or particularly game-ish, but I think it’ll work fine for what you’re doing.

I have like 8 of these. Amazing for portability and on the fly use. Great with servers/ tv systems/ portable keyboard. The only flaw is the new ones have the F keys are now mapped to their special functions which means at startup if you want to get to bios, you need to hit Fn key to acces the damn F keys. Now i know you can switch this using Logitech settings but it has never persisted for me.
I use one of these pretty regularly for service work I do on medical imaging equipment. It’s perfectly serviceable. Only issue I have is that on the keyboard there is no indication of caps lock, but otherwise it’s great and the trackpad works good too.
Have used for this exact use case. Recommended at the price for something reliable, simple, and cheap. Not a gaming peripheral, but perfect for navigating and any light tasks.
For a TV controller, its great. I used one for years. The touch pad works nicely, the volume control is handy, the keys are okay, you can type an email or search bar no problem. The yellow button in the corner is a right click, its really handy for highlighting things. With that said, it takes batteries (will last almost a year) and theres no backlight which gets annoying. I ended up using it so much I got a logitech k830. I love this keyboard. Its basically the same, but better built quality, being aluminum instead of plastic, the keys feel nicer, its backlit, and charges USB (needs a recharge every 4 or 5 months and I almost never switch it off). More expensive though. The k400 is great for controlling a PC connected to a tv. Its big enough to be a keyboard but small enough to put on a table or night stand.
Yeah this one is alright for multimedia needs, sometimes quality control is shit, like the left click on the right side is too high so you have to dig down to press the button or the case creaks while your typing, or it bent too much out of the box while you’re typing causing it to bow and slide around on the surface it’s on. I’ve been through a bunch of these K400+ they just aren’t built well and you’ll be replacing them under warranty. KEEP YOUR RECIEPT.
But other than that the battery life is fantastic, I have the old K400 from like 10 years ago, thing is awesome and still works perfectly. and you can connect another mouse to the same dongle.
if it’s for media handling then something like this or most cheap generic bluetooth keyboards with built in trackpad are just fine really
if it’s for actual gaming in bed then I’d get a wireless MnK instead
