Looks fine I’ve used PTM a few times. It doesn’t really drop core temp by much but it helps a lot with hotspot temps and has excellent longevity.

It’s a phase change pad so, yes, it squishes and melts. You’re best off using thermal putty on ram and vrms though, those tend to have more of a gap that needs filling between the component and the heatsink than a CPU or GPU.
