Yea amazingly Nintendo would take the same concept and use it about 15 years later and be called geniuses. I’m talking about Zelda TOTK.

Very cool and innovative, but it doomed itself by being a genre switching revival of the series.

I played the demo way back when this game came out, and it didn’t click. I ended up giving it another shot when it was free or super cheap (I can’t remember), and I really got into it. I hope we get a new game at some point, even if it loses the building aspect.

You don’t make the third entry of a game that people waited for for years about Lego cars, you just don’t.

I love all the Banjo games including this one. It is just so different from the rest of the series that I think it threw off the fan base. Hugely underrated for how fun it was to play creatively or brute force challenges with friends. However guides make it a really boring game.

I remember being fucking stoked during the intro of the trailer when it first came out but when they dropped that it was a vehicle game it sent me into a year long depression

Best of the series hands down.

I loved this game as a kid. I have a ton of memories of playing online with friends, driving around Mumbo’s garage.
Tried it again recently and was shocked at how slow the start was. You legit have to play for like 4hrs before any interesting gameplay shows up. The REALLY fun parts come at the end of the ~30hr campaign. I don’t know why they designed it like this.

It was ok but the entire time I played it I was just salty we weren’t getting a real Banjo Kazooie 3.

A late comeback with a plot twist no one saw coming – Banjo turns car mechanic. Yup, it had its charm though!

Never played any of the other BK games, but really enjoyed this. Creating a huge airborne battleship with every single thing you can think of attached, or just a super-powered jetpack for getting round the levels quick.
On one level having to defend a trophy. Rather than stay and protect it, I built essentially a flying tea tray, loaded the trophy onto it, and hid at the top of the level until the timer ran out.
It’s on the Rare Replay for those who have never played it.

Banjos face scares me

It was neat but overall not great.
It was weird playing a banjo Kazooie game and having more fun making up designs and blueprints than… playing the game.

is it on STEAM?
I thought the character redesigns were terrible.
I had a BLAST with this game
Probably the worst Rare game in my opinion
