Hello friends,
I've been using a stock Ryzen 7 5800X3D for 1 year now, and I've never tried overclocking it or lowering the voltage because it's pushed to its limits as 3D and I already have a liquid cooler.
I use Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360mm as AIO. The maximum temperature of the processor in AAA games is 75C and it runs at 65C on average.
It is possible to lower these temperatures a bit more because I run the AIO fans at 50-55% max and if I wanted to, I could speed them up more. But I'm willing to take a little bit of heat, preferring silence, and since I already know the heat resistance of this processor, 75C max and 65C average for AAA games is normal for me.
But I want to get to the main question, although I'm happy with my processor's temperatures, is there a safe way to increase its performance?
I thought this processor was already pushing its upper limits due to the fact that it's 3D, but from what I've seen in some videos, with a few tweaks, the performance can be increased a bit more. Even the temperatures can be lowered a bit. Is it possible to tune this CPU without sacrificing FPS?
Can you share with me your recommendations and safe CPU settings?
