It’s a shame, given the incredible series Netflix has ordered based on other game franchises.
They would have vaulted the season 1 or 2 at one point anyways
More seriously, I think Destiny is amongst the worst thing when it comes to onboarding newcomers, It took me a lot of efforts and few youtube videos to understand the game, started with Beyond Light. No regrets, I liked my time on D2, I really liked the Savathun expansion, especially the artistic side…but lightfall and the subsequent content drops burnt me.
A serie would have been good, trying to make the lore/scenario more understandable and thus the game more welcome to newcomers.
For Destiny 3, they will really need to make the game more organized and welcoming.

I can’t think of a story less deserving of adaptation than Destiny. Pure sci fi, straight to video energy from the whole franchise.

Hmmm. I was actually really looking forward to this. Hopefully this means Sony decided to go else where with it to leave Netflix out and put it exclusively on Funimation/Crunchyroll which they also own.

I would love a show that takes place during the dark ages and shows the formation of the Iron lords as well as the various Warlords.
Probably would’ve had microtransactions anyways…

Good. I’m tired of everyone jumping on this bandwagon just because Arcane was enormous. Making an animated TV show is not going to save the franchise you (Bungie) thrust in the ground.
