With the Chaos story being about mythology and disasters, I thought a Chernobyl/Pripyat map would fit extremely well.
Gulf War maps in Cold War style that would be fun. Research base / realistic maps don’t have to be boring:
* Chernobyl and return of the Gigaton
* Somali Pirate Cove
* Submarine / underwater research base
* Balkan Peaks mountain base (think of that Hydra base in Captain America)
* Saddam Hussein’s Baghdad Stronghold
* Archeological dig site in the Middle East like a modern desert equivalent to Origins
* Oil refinery contaminated in stranger things style
It used to kill people after 2 minutes
im kind of tired of facility maps although chernobyl would be cool.
smth i loved abt chaos maps were how different they were. from a roman colosseum to an english mansion to the titanic to literally delphi.
wish theyd do something like that again
The first time I entered the sub levels of die machine in cold war it was an awesome experience, and it got me excited for the rest of cold war. I was severely let down by the rest of the maps, but did enjoy the outbreak Legion easter egg when you were stuck down in the middle silo bunkers.
Maybe I’m just a big fan of unknown sprawling bunkers, but a map or two where most of the map is like that would be very cool. An actual challenge to survive when the lights go out or you actually have to work to get power restored.
Fuck these boring maps give me another morg city, island, cave underground, even tranzit ffs, these facility maps got tiring so quickly
