Yeah no thanks( when playing a dark scary game)

  1. I get it but at the same time you’re gonna miss out on a lot of the atmosphere.. especially with Dead Space. Can’t conquer those fears if you don’t face them!

    🙂

Mmm…. wouldn’t the game look way too washed out if it’s that bright?

  3. Pro tip: Don’t play scary games if you don’t enjoy it. Setting brightness like that will remove a lot of surprises, and will make the game predictable and dull.

Haha, max brightness on a horror game? Might as well watch a comedy!

Funny, I just started Dead Space 2023 PC yesterday. Played a couple hours today and now I can’t continue. My M&K just suddenly stop responding after 10 or so minutes. Looked up solutions and haven’t found anything useful so far. Really annoying. I was quite enjoying myself and I don’t usually enjoy horror games (Even if they’re action horror). Glad I’m using some Gamepass my friend gave me the other day.

Ahh yes, the ever fun gamble of “will this make the game more atmospheric or make me unable to see anything”

The joy of exploring a derelict ship with a shit flashlight.

Ishimura lol, what’s with Japanese-named spaceships in sci fi? Kobayashi etc, I wonder where this trope came from.

  9. This will just make it impossible to see and annoying in dark sections because it’s barely too dark to make out with no flashlight but way too bright with a flashlight (idk this game but that’s my experience when I tried this)

The monsters can’t get me if I blind them with background light

I dial it up a notch or two, but that’s it.
