You forgot completely overkill overpriced AIO, hundreds of dollars of RGB fans and a shitty off-brand PSU.
Did some big youtuber make a video about bottlenecks recently or something? I swear the number of people posting about bottlenecking has gone up a lot and I had wondered if that might be the cause.

Experienced the “bottleneck” BS recently after upgrading my gpu to a 4070 TI Super. On AMD, I couldn’t play Cyberpunk with ray-tracing (before you tell me “AmD iSn’T fOr RaYtRaCiNg!”, it’s an advertised feature right on the box of the 6800xt I had.) at 1080p without lowering the population density, which is supposed to be a CPU bound feature. Slapped in the new gpu and population density barely affects my FPS no matter how high it is. Other games that are “cpu heavy” don’t have problems any more despite me having a recent i5 that should “bottleneck” everything according to the internet.

These people make it impossible to actually discuss bottlenecks in any meaningful way because the term can no longer be taken seriously
You forget the “asking for advice online” one where you either get cretinous fanboys spewing false info or the guy who insists you need a 4090 + 14900KS or else you’re gonna have a bad time playing stardew valley
^(neither of which know anything about PC’s anyway..)

And here I just watched reviews from multiple sources, picked components that worked together out of the box, read the manual and put my expensive lego together.
