I don’t wanna sway replies one way or the other so I’m gonna keep my opinions to myself. Just wondering what everyone thought of it and what you’d like to see kept or changed for Gulf War.
One thing I’ll comment on was that lobby theme, I still remember how hyped I was when they dropped that thing on YouTube before the full game dropped.

It’s alright. It did work for me with the continuation of the storyline. It is also the first game I did the Easter Egg on, Klaus forever.
Overall a good/decent game. I think the “soulless” and empty feeling of the game like the overuse of military bases and operator system was both due to Activision’s greed with bundles. But also probably more than likely due to time constraints the team had with the game back in 2019/2020. Kevin Sheerwood only made two songs for the game. And he went on to explain in his discord he simply didn’t have the time to make anymore since he had other audio assignments to deal with since he wasn’t obligated to actually make any hidden music in the first place. So a lot the absent charm of the mode like music, atmosphere and characters etc. Was probably due to the rushed development of the game back then. I did like the newer systems introduced in CW, and would like to see at least half of it return. As for the quests themselves, I did like how everything we did actually kinda made sense in the map instead of doing random scavenger hunts like the orbs on DE or the bones on Rev, that no one in their right mind would ever be aware of without seeing a guide first. That being said, I do hope 2024 will have some harder steps. Just steps that actually make sense, like how it was presented in CW if you know what I mean.
I liked it, just felt like it needed more content.
1. Original zombies maps made for it and not just recycled campaign maps.
2. More objectives for the Outbreak maps.
3. More round based zombies maps.
4. A default set of 4 characters you play as and the option of operators.
those are about the main things I could think of. Over all I’d say Cold War Zombies is the most casual friendly and easiest to just hop on for a quick game.
6/10, gains points for good maps and outbreak, loses points for being so damn easy
