Fallout TV show when actors respects the source material by actually playing the games to get to know their role better, huge respect to Ella Purnell.

Didn’t realise she was English, I’m halfway through FO and never occured to me.

Best adaptation of a video game to TV show ever. 10 out of 10.

Even if it’s not actually true, thank god someone didn’t screw they press by saying these thing they typically do.

I love her in the show, and now I like her as a person. I mean, you’d think role playing games would be right up actor’s alleys. You’re assuming a different identity a lot of the time. Not dissimilar to what actors do when acting. The show really does feel like it cared about the source material. I am glad it was renewed for a 2nd season already. And I am only 3 episodes in.

I’d smash her with the force of 1 million nukes

Meanwhile “The Last of Us” to there actors were like, “The first game was one of the best story driven games of all time, please don’t play it, we don’t want our tv show to be anything like it”.

she did really great in the series. hoping there’s another season coming out🙏🏼

  8. She did a wonderful job as Jinx in Arcane, and possibly even better as Lucy in Fallout. Given how well she portrayed the naivete of a vault dweller going to the surface for the first time it’s not surprising that she did her homework. Looking forward to season 2!

Would be even better if we could get the industry into the habit of having directors play the source material too, not just actors.

    See “witcher” for context.

It’s weird. For awhile Hollywood knew that most “movie adaptation of games” suck (eg. Uwe Bohl movies) for the simple fact that they don’t follow the source materials.

YET to THIS DAY, you’d hear over and over in post-production interviews of directors, writers and producers saying “we were told not to read the source materials”…like WTF?

I don’t get it. The creators of comics, books, video games already did most of the lore and story, all you gotta do is put in film.

  11. As someone who loves fallout 2, I don’t think even fallout 3 or las vegas were that good, compared to fallout 2, and this bullshit series? we can appreciate that she played the game, but she didn’t fucking wrote the script, it’s like you have to appreciate every little thing and yet ignore the big fucking thing
