I recently had the opportunity to visit a surprising place near me. It claims to be the only dedicated video game museum. A lot of interesting things there. Picture for example, but theres much more, including one of a kind prototypes of consoles that never launched, and they have* some displays that claim to be the only known prototype.

I wanna take my kids to this. (Obviously for me though)
That’s pretty cool. What was your favorite part/thing you saw?
Awesome
Like it or not, it’s media, medium and culture and, therefore, history.
Curious how big it is, compared to the video gaming parts of the museum of play.
This is what I don’t get. There’s no real, official, absolute kind of a VG museum. They all just come in parts. I keep envisioning this grand building that houses all of the significant consoles, the rarities, the novelties, some memorabilia and moments of gaming that affected it’s course.
And there doesn’t seem to be an agreement as to where such a place would be held at.
But we don’t have that. This is a decent start.
