Nah people bought noctua bc they were the best. These days they don’t have a single product that is the best is any category be it noise normalized or max perfomance. Still good products just not at all worth the price

Noctua is beloved for the same reason that McDonalds became popular, I don’t mean modern McDonald’s.
You go to a McDonald’s out of town, you were going to get the same consistent product as you would in your hometown, again, times have changed.
Noctua is reliable, it’s consistent. They’re not prone to whistling out an off-the-knee-from-the-ass product. The brown may not be for everybody but that’s why nearly all their fans come in a chromax.black.swap varietal, and if you’re broke but still want a reliable fan they have the grey Redux line of the same proven models.
That reliable quality is the reason I no longer buy (If I can help it) from brands that don’t show that same level of give a shit for themselves and their customers.
