I've been playing it non-stop ever since I got that hdmi converter. I bought the custom shell at a flea market a long time ago.

So many good memories come to mind, now throw some power stone in there and have at it!!

That console had some absolutely amazing games. I loved Powerstone, House of The Dead and Crazy Taxi.

It had a ton of games you could only play at the arcade before that system.

The Dreamcast brings back so many great memories. I was able to get it on release date which I believe was 9/9/1999 along with Soul Caliber, Sonic Adventure and NFL 2K. My friends and I played all night. I want to hook my Dreamcast up again but I only have a 50” and 75” tv so I’m not sure how the games will look on bigger TVs.

Love those see-through consoles and controllers

Damn that looks good. Mine’s yellow but the bad kind and the drive stopped working and the video connection seemed wobbly, maybe I should try and revive it.

    It’s alive!

    The custom case matches perfectly.

  7. Maken-X, Star Wars Demolition, Demolition Racer glorious games…

The years really yellowed that plastic.

I wish I knew Japanese. I downloaded a game, Bomber Hehhe!, it was this demolition game where you had to place explosives and take down buildings. But it was only in Japanese. Seemed like it would have been fun.

I’ve seen Nintendo’s turn yellowish with age but this is next level!

  11. Grandia 2 for dreamcast was a FF7 like game that had me absolutely hooked. That shit was incredible to my 9 year old self. An epic and raunchy classic that no one but me seems to remember.

Man I remember renting this console and house of the dead back in the day. And there was a boss where you gotta shoot the little flying guy who controls the big boss body to defeat him.

randomly tried remapping all buttons to shoot and reload then aimed at the main body and just spam all buttons. PISTOL GO BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR = dead boss 😂

This is one of the retro consoles with the best catalog of games for my taste, how much did it cost you in the flea market?

  17. Saw the yellow in the thumbnail and thought it was experiencing the same thing as an old SNES.

  18. I love that! Great job! The Dreamcast blew my mind back in the day. I cannot even begin to tell you how many hours I put into Phantasy Star Online… Or how many days I called out of work 😏

The one who started the new generation

  21. Fond memories playing Unreal Tournament and Soul Calibur with my older brother on the Dreamcast. It was a great system, it just came out at a bad time.

is that…a controller with a disc drive built into it?

    thats so cool!

  23. KimberlyScott28vH

That’s awesome! Bringing back the Dreamcast must feel like a blast from the past. It’s cool to see old technology making a comeback, especially with the nostalgia factor. Have you been diving back into some classic games on it?

  24. GodlyBeerGut

dreamcast? man some serious nostalgia right there.
