I always wonder in these cases if these items when purchased are actually sold and shipped by Amazon vs sold and shipped by somedodgychinesecompany.ca?
someone bought a 4070 and returned it with their old graphic card. amazon didnt catch it.

It’s like when I bought a 5 quart jug of oil from a parts store. When I went to put it in my truck I noticed the lid seal wasn’t on. I looked in the jug and the oil was black. Some douche changed his oil then returned the used oil.

Whenever I buy merchandise from Amazon I make sure the seller and shipper are both sold by Amazon to avoid issues like these. Much quicker for returns and less hassle overall
Since you bought on amazon you should be able to get your money back
This is why i always get my GPUs from reputable places such as overclockers, (ignore the recent reddit drama, overclockers are legit and have been supplying my GPUs for over 20 years)
I know it’s a common mistake around here, but this isn’t the customer service department of amazon
You might want to find them and ask them about it
Just contact customer service and they will berate the seller on your behalf or something. I dunno. Maybe amazons policies have changed to 5 lashes in the public square.

This happened to me too when I ordered a GPU on Amazon. They accepted the return. I think they know the issues they have with supply chain integrity. I’m sure it doesn’t go unnoticed.
As someone who has had this happen 3 separate times over the years. Call Amazon and let them know if they refuse to replace or refund call your bank and dispute. Only 1 time has Amazon made me dispute and I never got banned from shopping from Amazon.
“Don’t buy GPUs from Amazon” should be stickied to the top of this sub. Too many return scammers out there.

Guys this is just a repost meme of what happened to the guy the other day who sent a video card to OC for repairs and claims he got sent the wrong card back and oc claims they were the ones being scammed.
