Hey. I'm just trying to get as much as I can out of my trusty 2070s before I upgrade to 5000 series once they come out.
My GPU is EVGA hybrid, so it's water and fan cooled at the same time. And it runs at extremely low temperatures at full load (50c) so there's plenty of headroom for overclocking.
But I am limited by power. It has 6+8 pin connectors so that's what, 225W off of PSU? Which is what it is drawing on full load. But if I'm not mistaken theres 75W coming off the PCIE connection itself, right? Making total headroom 300W, closer to 290W as there's a pump and fans powered from it as well.
Could I flash other EVGA 2070s bios with higher limits without a problem, ie: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/212086/evga-rtx2070super-8192-190626-1
Which has a power limit of 338W, which I wouldn't allow to try and draw ofc.
With power limits in place, I can reach 2ghz flat, I do believe I could go higher with more current.
