I think this is a creatively bankrupt Mario Kart ripoff cash grab by a corporate machine disconnected with fun and connected with draining people’s wallets through addiction. That being said, how is this not better for the end “consumer”? isn’t the point of in-game currency to hide the value the consumer is spending by obscuring value of a fake currency, and also forcing you to buy more currency than you need.

Honestly anyone who actually plays this deserves whatever they get just like the clowns who actually bought Suicide Squad.

I don’t know what to think about this.
I spended several years making movile games (with IAP) and all the point for in-gam currency is to mimic the casinos with a toy money, so the player never know exactly how mush the thinghts cost.
Removing the in-game currency will made the players know how much the thinght cost and don’t buy it.
Good for players, bad for Disney.
So…I like it…?

I hate when games have an in game currency start selling things for straight up money instead of that in game currency. Make me waste money getting your currency just to say f*** you the next day.

So they’re being upfront and honest about how much it’ll cost? I hate to say it, but that’s a step up from other games which try to hide behind confusion

Someone in executive about to realize why this a bad idea
the main reason games started using in game currency is because its easier to refund player with in game currency then real money , and you don’t have to deal with the headaches of chargebacks and other customer support nightmares

So like every other battle pass to ever exist?

Is this really good for players though? This eliminates the possibility of earning the battle pass by playing or earning the price back by completing it.
