I was shocked how great this game was for a free PS+ download.

The setup for the final boss and then the fight itself is one of my favourite gaming memories, absolutely love the game.
Just nabbed it off PS+ myself, didn’t expect to be this hooked! The boss battles are epic, hands down. Can’t wait for more like this!

Phenomenal piece of art. Beautiful set pieces and scenery, emotional story, and a combat system that really is the best combat system I’ve ever played.
I absolutely polished off the first island but then I found it got very repetitive unfortunately
I got to the last boss, didn’t even fight him, and turned it off and never turned it back on. I think it was for fear of finishing such a great game

Love this game, wandering around enjoying the scenery and discovering stuff is excellent, great combat system, characters and story are highly enjoyable. I really like how they use the wind to direct you to your waypoints also, no mini map to stare at.
I agree with what everyone is saying, and I also love the dueling mechanic with groups of enemies. Really mafe you feel so badass, cutting them down one by one as they challenge you

Over 1000 hours in that game. Absolute masterpiece.
Also really enjoying Rise of the Ronin too! Worth $70? Nah. Good as GoT? Um… fuck no. But I look at it like this. GoT is like 13 Assassins. Crazy good production value. Incredible fight scenes. Characters you love. An epic underdog story.
Rise of the Ronin is like Wolf and Cub, or other more wacky classic Samurai films. Hints of that weird Japanese sense of humor that really work in the game. Beautiful in it’s own way. NOT GoT gorgeous, but also not a bad looking game at all. Combat is way more classic samurai film esque with buckets of blood and beheadings galore.
GoT is one of my top 2 or 3 games ever (as a 45yo gamer), and I can honestly say I don’t regret purchasing Rise of the Ronin.
I thought all the characters were bland/boring. The gameplay loop is very repetitive too
Freaking fantastic game.
I enjoyed the story and gameplay it was really good but every side quest needing to be like 9 missions long was a bit of a drag.
