Being worth it is pretty subjective. That entirely depends on how much value you attach to not having to build it yourself.
i cant say anything about the specific brand but specs wise that actually looks quite good, unless something goes horribly wrong that seems like a pretty good purchase. hope he enjoys it! 🙂

Good specs and value, hope they didn’t cheap out on the psu, mobo, ram, or ssd, hell even the gpu. Sometimes these brands will cut corners by selling pcs with bad specs that most not technical people won’t bat a second eye at.
I bought a Cyberpower and it was good, components were normal off the shelf stuff and it works fine. All of its components were high quality too. I would have killed to find one for that price from a store when I bought mine, I had to order it from Amazon and it was like $200 higher with an i9 instead of a Ryzen.

Got the same brand from Best Buy a few years ago when the 3070 came out and it’s been a good pc. Had to return the first one because the SSD came broke (probably happened in shipping.) The replacement has been solid. I feel decent about recommending it.
Pretty good for its price. The one thing I’m afraid of is the PSU. If it’s from an unknown brand and you can change it, do it immediately, as it’s maybe the most important part of a computer. You can refer to [this list](https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/) to choose you psu.
CyberPower used to do horrible configs with bad curves and temps, but that was several years ago. Idk about now though, hopefully they improved because that pc looks solid overall!
It’s okay, I wouldn’t say it was a great deal that some of the people you see posting from Costco get. You didn’t get ripped off but you probably could’ve built it yourself better for a bit less tbh.
as someone that bought one of these machines i hope you dont want to control your fans or rgb cause youre in for a surprise. they use a controller and you adjust the lights with a button on the case. youll have no control over your water pump or you fan speed either.
The good thing is, that CPU is so good that it will be able to handle an upgrade to a 5000 series Nvidia card when the time comes.

Not a bad deal based on the specs. Word of warning though, Best Buy’s shipping with PCs is literal shit. It could potentially take a month.i was going to go that route and it took 2 weeks for it to still be “vendor acknowledged order” status, nowhere close to shipped.

They cheap out on other stuff as well but really only these two matter
My first PC was this brand with a 1070. Sold it to a friend who still uses it daily. I purchased it at least 8 years ago

I have a Cyberpower and it has served me well, but I have heard their support is terrible so hopefully you won’t need to use it.

Since this was at Best Buy I would possibly consider totaltech, I bought a cyberpower, thought it was awesome and then 4 weeks later it didn’t post. They had no issue taking it back and I ended up getting a MUCH better MSI. Plus if you get total tech it will cover everything else you buy there (at least for a year unless you renew). At this point I buy everything I can at BB and they have swapped out 2 mice, a Nespresso (that is really crappy actually) twice, a teneco mop a thermometer a oled switch and a few other things. I never have to even fight them on failed items and I’ve even gotten price matches 60 days later.
