So my graphics card runs hot, and I love playing games like Ark survival ascended, and it requires a higher amount of RAM. My thoughts are, if I upgrade my gpu to this, I will be good to go for the future several years of gaming graphics advancements lol what are your thoughts?

Hello GabeKirkham, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/gamingpc/wiki/rules)!
We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!

To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!

Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!

Got a regular 4070 myself. Running heavily intensive games at 1440p max with frames for days.

4070ti super should be good for at least 5-7years. I plan to keep mine for at least that long. Just make sure your processor is not a bottleneck. Get something like a 12th gen or newer if you got intel. Minimum i5, ideally i7.

The future proofing is heavily dependent on the VRAM of your card and also what resolution you plan to run games at, the lower your resolution in the next several years, the more years that GPU will last, but I wouldn’t put a number on it

It also heavily depends on what games you play too, a gpu this powerful could run mid budget and less games probably for several years at reasonable resolutions
