Understandable, I’m tired of fuckin seeing The Rock, Kevin Hart, John Cena, and Mark Wahlberg in every single movie.
Honestly I agree with him, I’m fucking tired of Troy baker . Besides Joel I really don’t like any of his acting
Troy Baker is an amazing VA, and I love hearing him in the games.
However I do understand the comment from Todd, however lazy he is as a director.

While I agree with the sentiment, it sucks to hear a big name in the industry essentially call out blacklisting you for being too popular (not like Todd Howard has made anything good in a while so Baker is safe there).
I would also say that VAs like Baker bring alot more to the table. As voice actors, they can voice several characters with their own distinct personalities which could save money on production. Would much rather have a game only voiced by Troy Baker than a game filled with Hollywood celebs phoning it in.
Laughs in dubbed european version. Never heard of Troy Baker until I googled him.

Harrison Ford is and will always be the one and only Indiana Jones. When I see Harrison, I see Indiana Jones. Even Harrison Ford said he’s Indiana jones and no one else could do it.
Troy baker fatigue is real
I love Bakers work. But as much as it pains me I can see where they are coming from. Besides there are a LOT of talented VO actors not getting roles because they keep going to the same handful of actors.
We need more main characters with a new voice. Film is really bad about this.
Agree with Todd. I appreciate that Troy is a legend but it’s always so obvious when it’s him and he seems like kind of a fuck boy as well. I want new voices.

It’s been a while since I’ve played anything Baker voiced, but he dominated hard inn 2013-2018 era.
I like Troy, and I love his work, but I’ve begun to sigh when I hear his voice in games now. There’s so much talent out there, pick someone else and help them elevate the business!
That plus Troy doesn’t seem to be changing his voice all that much anymore, that could just be my ears though.
Troy Baker, Matt Mercer and Yuri Lowenthal need to stop being in EVERY game and animated series pls.

The irony of “Troy Baker is in every game” and getting him for Indiana Jones because he can do the voice. The ability to change your voice depending on the character you’re hired to play without people being able to tell that it is you? THAT’s voice acting.
John DiMaggio is another person you can only tell if you’re listening for him actively.
He did say to wait for him and Nolan North to die for any aspiring VOs wanting to make their big break.
One thing people aren’t talking about is how you can find so many games because of these recognizable VA’s and I think that’s one reason why they don’t cast them correctly. Especially if the company worked with them before and have a recent release or new release in the works.

As far as voice actors go, the only thing I want in general is to see the whole main cast of BG3 more in whatever bigger games in the near future. They all absolutely crushed it and brought so much life and passion to their characters.

It’s funny because someone like Troy Baker could probably up his price a bit. He’d get less work, but he’d leave work for others and still make the same.
Honestly, what’s the last game he had a big part in? TLOU 2 four years ago? It’s all been small parts or films/tv things for a few years now. I get being tired of his standard deep voiced male lead acting; that was definitely overdone for a few years; but it’s been a bunch of years since he’s played any roles like that.
The Troy Baker and Nolan North fatigue is real, even years after they stopped appearing in virtually every major game on the market. Debra Wilson is getting there.
