Over the last 65 months you’ve completed 84% of this game. That’s about 1.3% per month. How often do you play, 3 minutes per week? Or do you just not complete the story?

This is why I continue to make the winning choice and not have them.

Ignore the kids, only play games. Problem solved.

Im with you. Started FF7 Rebirth, 8hrs in a month 😀. Gonna take a while.
feelingdrawsy
you guys are finding time to play games?!
Real-Variation-8681
6 years? Kids or not that shit is ridiculous for a 50-60 hour game.
What were you doing, playing 10 minutes a day?
Because even if you were spending only like 2 hours a weekend playing, you would’ve finished the game in a few months.
DuckCleaning
I dont have kids but it’s taken me years of trying and Im still only 50% through RDR2 story. It’s such a tediously long game that I dont always have the interest to play it.
Similar-Tangerine
This is definitely reinforcing some life choices I’ve made

6 years? Seems to me like a skill issue.

I was lucky RDR2 came out just before I had kids but while the wife was pregnant, and was going to bed at 8 most nights. Gaming did become a bit tougher after that (but post grad studies played as big a role in that as kids). Things have sort of normalised now. I generally don’t play while they’re awake, so there might be some days where I won’t play at all due to time constraints, others where I’m too tired to play, but some days where I’ll get 2-3 hours of gaming in. I imagine most parents are in a similar boat

I have several kids and keep up with gaming with this simple trick:
don’t sleep.
DotZealousidea
Halfway through I stopped playing the story and became a full time hunter. So took me a while too

Looking at the saves it looks like you beat that in 5 game sessions which doesn’t sound like a dad problem or you have literally no time for anything.
notKomithEr
sounds horrible

This is why you should buy a handheld. Gaming while in bed is fin

How many do you have?

My dad always had time to game. Especially when i got older.

At least you played through the game. Half the time I had to restart because I either forgot the controls, or the story or both. Only to stop at a point before or slightly after where I left off the previous time.
I’m practically playing like I’m missing a memory card from N64 or PS1/2 days… starting fresh every time.
BARD3NGUNN
At least you can say you got your money’s worth out of the game if it took nearly 6 years.
Hazzyhazzy113
You might even finish in time to start GTA 6
Spare-Humor5670
If you 100% this game you are a goth!
WorldEaterYoshi
Nah fam if that’s RDR2 like I think it is then you’re playing that game at a normal pace. It’s dense AF.
Lone_Wolf_199
yeah this is kinda reinforcing my thoughs on not having kids.
Plus I don’t like kids as much others do lol
wizeballer92
In the same boat. My daughter is definitely worth it though.

I think this is why I almost exclusively play rogue-likes now

Thanks for the daily dose of birth control ☺️

Know plenty of people who game more than 2 minutes a week and have kids.
mezpride
Sooo what you’re saying is I should never have kids? Way ahead of you 👍
WieldyShieldy
I dont have kids and Rockstar games still take me 6 years to finish because they are not addictive whatsoever
southpaw85
I have 2 kids but sometimes you gotta make sacrifices for democracy

Having a kid has really changed the kinds of games I’m interested in playing. I used to be all about the slower paced story driven games like RDR2 and Final Fantasy, but now I need something I can do directly into and out of for an hour at a time at most.
