I’m just a fan of adding back lighting to things. So a rgb strip behind the shelves and desk maybe might look good. If not an rgb color warm white always looks nice

Looks good. I’d suggest some lamps and other non over head accent lighting around the room. If you’re willing to drill into the underside of the Karlby I’d also recommend some type of cable rack for cable management.
