This is actually my 5 y.o laptop. It’s AMD graphic card become unusuable (cant enable the driver, hardlocks) after a hardlock that required a format. I researched it and some people said it happens because of a shitty AMD/Windows bug, my computer literally lost it’s right hand. My intel i5 8k literally carries my hdd, 8gb ram and intel uhd 630. I like little indie games so my old baby is more than enough for me :’)

15 years using PCs, 15 years using Macs and PCs. I’m in the wrong forum for this comment, but by far Macs are better than PCs in every single way except for hardcore gaming. Almost all Macs (except for minis) cost more in your first year, but the lifespan alone makes them cost so much less to own, and that’s before you even get into productivity. But again this isn’t the right forum for people with actual working production experience in both arenas. This is a forum for the PC Master Race, and so here we are. PCs rule, Macs drool, or something like that.
FYI, last purchase was a top of the line PC laptop (already had to replace it once), prior purchase was top of the line components for two gaming PCs, which double as workhorses for machine learning and various other services, and next purchase will be M3 Ultra based Mac. When I do, I’ll give away a 7 year old iMac that is still doing its job and a 12 year old iPad, which by whatever miracle still has a spare battery beside it, waiting for when the original dies, if ever, and I’ll be giving both away soon as well, where they’ll continue their lives for who knows how long. All that matters to me is that the machines do their damn jobs, and when it comes to doing their jobs, I run the numbers like a religious fanatic because I have to do these jobs at scale and for profit.

the only apple product i’d buy (and did) is a macbook. my desktop is a pc, but apple simply makes better laptops. period.
prior to my apple laptop i owned a dell which lasted all of 3 years. prior to that i owned a macbook that had lasted 8+ years.
