Yes, everyone hates this fly buggers and being into slow you down for the consoles to load the damn map. but if there was a Tranzit remake/reimagined, how would you want these Denizens to behave in the map.
The CHALLENGE is to not remove them, but make them incapable in the map that can be tolerable but can be ultimately frustrating to deal with.
Here’s a couple ideas for the frustration of Denizens:
-
During the Ambush Rounds (as based on the cut mechanic), the Bus breaks down, and it’s not just Dogs that will spawn in to ambush you, it’s also Novas (with a Fire Nova variant that can spit out or flames at you), and Denizens that would attack players with Dogs and Novas. The Denizens there are hella weak, but the Dogs and Novas are the real concern as Denizens will pretty much hinder your ability to fend Dogs and Novas off the Ambush Rounds.
-
Denizens would chase the bus, even when you get inside the bus, they will lunge and attack you inside the bus as a spiteful manor.
-
Denizens would have their own round (like your typical dog rounds but as a 10 limit group and would constantly disable the Box, Perk Machines, and PaP. It’s Ascension Monkeys but they go after the things players loved. Preventing them from attacking these tree would grand them a Perk Bottle and a Bon-Fire Sale.

I like them but maybe a helmet or item that keeps them away would be a great idea. Maybe like the panzer helmet on DE or the dig helmet on Origins.
You would have to either build it or do certain steps to obtain it.
I mean COD had a lot of annoying things on certain maps but they offered solutions to balance them.
For example the heat bag on Tag der Toten to save you from the annoying ice water. Or the gas mask on Zetsubou saving you from the annoying spore coughs.
