Disagree to an extent. Free2Play games do it to themselves. Banning someone who can just make another account will always keep them coming back.

Look at Valve and Counter Strike. The game use to be on sale almost weekly. People would just make multieple accounts and buy it for 5 bucks on each. If you got banned, no worries because you had a backup account. They finally realized the issue and took steps to remedy it. I can’t remember the last time the game was on sale. Sure there is still hackers, but it’s nowhere near as bad as it use to be.

Games like APEX and Warzone could have the best anti cheat in the world, but as long as the games are F2P, it doesn’t matter.

It’s an ineffective and dated way of doing this, it doesn’t do shit to make them angry, they just hop on another account, and the company with the “angry mob” who got to cheat scott free the last 3 months? The company gives them free credit back, or free accounts, and credits to the cheat store.

This works when cheating was in its infancy, but it doesn’t work now, at all.

They’ve customer serviced the effectiveness from this, and this is a 2006 dates way of handling cheating. Banning instantly would be much more effective, remove the cheaters in realtime, everytime.

Cheating culture has matured enough now most cheaters expect a ban eventually, it’s not the surprise rage inducing shit it used to be.
